This Expert Privacy Notice describes how Thea (“Thea,” “Vectis,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information about experts and applicants (“you”) in connection with the Vectis expert platform. It also describes your responsibilities regarding the information of the individuals you serve (“Clients”).
1. Information We Collect From You
Depending on how you apply and participate, we may collect:
- •Identity and contact details — name, email, phone number, and location
- •Professional information — specialty, years of experience, credentials, degrees and certifications, license number and expiry, areas of expertise, notable clients, and bio
- •Public presence — social media profile links you choose to provide
- •Pricing — your hourly rate and/or monthly subscription rate
- •Verification data — identity-verification results processed by our provider (e.g., Stripe Identity) and any proof of license you submit
- •Payout data — the account and tax information required by our payment processor (e.g., Stripe Connect) to pay you
- •Account and usage data — login credentials, device and log data, and your activity on the platform
2. How We Use Your Information
- •To review, verify, and decide on your application and to operate your expert account
- •To display your public profile (name, specialty, bio, location, credentials, social links, and rates) to Clients
- •To facilitate scheduling, communications, payments, and payouts
- •To maintain the security and integrity of the platform and prevent fraud or abuse
- •To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements
- •To communicate with you about your account, applications, and updates
3. How We Share Your Information
- •With Clients — your public profile information, so they can evaluate and book you
- •With service providers — including payment/identity providers (e.g., Stripe), cloud hosting, email, and support tools, under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations
- •For legal reasons — to comply with law or lawful requests, or to protect users, the public, or the Company
- •In a business transaction — such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Notice
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Client Information Is Your Responsibility
When you provide services, you may receive information about Clients. With respect to that information, you act as an independent professional and are responsible for handling it lawfully.
- •Use Client information only to provide the services the Client requests
- •Protect it with appropriate safeguards and comply with all applicable privacy, data-protection, and professional record-keeping laws
- •Do not use Client information for marketing or unrelated purposes without the Client’s consent
- •Maintain any professional records you are required to keep, separately from the platform where required
Thea is not responsible for how you handle Client information outside the platform.
5. Data Security
We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit and at rest and access controls. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account or application is active and thereafter as reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our agreements.
7. Your Choices and Rights
You can review and update much of your profile information in your dashboard, and you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to applicable law and to information we must retain. 8. Changes to This Notice
We may update this Notice from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or by email, and the “Last updated” date will identify the current version.
